When we choose to support a policy - whether in parliament, the board room or the ballot box - do we get clear, balanced information about our different options?

Most people would agree not - we either get highly simplified (and often unbalanced) information, or balanced and full information which is impenetrably long and detailed.

In fields such as healthcare, this problem has been tackled by the development of summaries to help people make choices between medical treatments - why has the same not been done for policies?

The Winton Centre for Risk & Evidence Communication in Cambridge have been tackling this problem.
